Community.

The premise

A studio that only serves clients eventually forgets who it was for. Community work keeps us honest and keeps the pipeline open.

We invest programming and time into partnerships with organizations doing civic, mentorship, cultural, and youth-focused work, with roots in Black and diaspora communities and doors open to anyone building alongside them.

Programs

Culturally inclusive programming

We create and develop events with local communities, rooted in the neighborhoods they serve, built with the people they're for.

Creator workshops

Hands-on labs for young artists, photo, video, and brand fundamentals taught by working practitioners.

Nonprofit residencies

Embedded media support for community orgs. We sit inside the program and build the story alongside it.

Partner programming

Series and events co-produced with aligned organizations, panels, screenings, and community shoots.

Mentorship pipelines

Direct paths from workshop to paid assistant to freelance to studio. We hire from the room.

Event amplification

Local orgs can submit their events to be featured in our newsletter and across our socials, free.
